The  5th Bone Marrow Transplantation at Hematology Center

The 5th autologous stem cell transplantations was done at Bone Marrow Transplantation Department of Hematology Center after R. H. Yeolyan on March 1. The patient was a 40-year-old Sargis diagnosed with myeloma. The transplantation is considered a stage of treatment courses that will return the patient to his daily life.

The transplantation was done by the doctors of Transplantation Department headed by the Professor Smbat Daghbashyan and Frankfurt clinic physician, MD Ulrich Bitz, who was also fully engaged in the preceding transplantations and had an active involvement in the follow-up of patients during their post - transplantation period.

Bone marrow / stem cell transplantation, as a component of cellular therapy, is gradually invading the field of Armenian medicine providing a wide range of treatments for a number of patients with hematologic disorders and other pathologies.
